🕊️ Introduction
Psalm 35 is a psalm of David in which he cries out to God for justice and deliverance from enemies. David had been falsely accused, betrayed by those he had shown kindness to, and surrounded by people who sought his downfall. Instead of taking revenge into his own hands, David brought his pain before the Lord and trusted God to defend him.
This psalm reminds believers that God sees injustice, hears our cries, and fights for His children. When we are misunderstood, falsely accused, or hurt by others, we can place our trust in the righteous Judge.
⚔️ God Fights for His People
Psalm 35:1-3
“Fight against those who fight against me, O Lord; contend with those who contend with me.”
David calls upon God as his defender. He asks the Lord to take up shield and spear and rescue him from those pursuing him.

⚠️ The Fate of the Wicked
Psalm 35:4-8
David prays that those who seek evil would be brought to shame and that their plans would fail.
Throughout Scripture, we see that evil may prosper for a season, but God ultimately brings justice. The Lord sees every hidden motive and every wrong committed against His people.
Life Application
You do not need to repay evil with evil. God is able to deal with injustice far better than we ever could.
🙌 Rejoicing in God's Deliverance
Psalm 35:9-10
“And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord; it shall rejoice in His salvation.”
Even before deliverance came, David praised God.
His confidence was not based on circumstances but on God's faithfulness.

Praise God before the answer comes. Faith trusts Him even while waiting.

Psalm 35:11-16

Psalm 35:22-28

He believed God would vindicate him, and he committed himself to continually praising the Lord.
No matter what people say or do, God's opinion matters most.

God,
